All students who graduate from the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) within the Media School produce work continuously throughout their time at BU, they therefore produce a show reel of work which they can then use when seeking employment.
Below are some great examples of the artistic and visually memorising work some of our undergraduates produce on our computer animation courses here within the Media School.
This animation was produced by Ben Guy in his final year of BA (Hons) Computer Visualisation and Animation. It is a short story of Argus the watchman and his pursuits with a mysterious orb of light.
Showtime was created by undergraduates Peter Warbis and Andy Palmer for their final year project in 2010. It is a short, comedic character animation that follows an egotistic Ringmaster who ends up getting a taste of his own medicine.
In all the animation took approximately seven months to complete. The primary piece of software used was Autodesk Maya.

Bad Day by Christop Keller was created for his Masters Project in 2010 for MA Digital Effects. The scene depicts a plane crash and the chaos that ensues.
Meteor Rain by Tobias Keip depicts a meteor shower over central London. This was created for Tobias’ final Masters Project in 2010 for MA Digital Effects.

MA 3D Computer Animation also sits within the National Centre for Computer Animation, and produces students that go on to work within the animation industry across the world.
Hams Off is a final project work from a team of students on MA 3D Computer Animation that graduates in 2009. It is a light comedic sketch that shows off the high calibre of work our students create within the University.
